Skyreach

Skyreach hires and sells boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers and the rest of the height-access range from eight branches between Cairns and Melbourne. Thirty years in, with more than three thousand machines in the fleet, the website was a WordPress site on a page builder that had not kept up: slow, dated, and hard to move through. A machine was a page with a photo the size of a stamp, a paragraph, a form and a link to a PDF. Finding the right one meant knowing its name already.

The data underneath was worse than the pages. The builder rendered two copies of every section, one for mobile and one for desktop, the product content lived only in rendered HTML, and most of the news existed as PDFs.

Hire enquiries rarely involve one machine. So every card and every product page has an add button, and the machines collect in a quote list that survives closing the tab and stays in sync across tabs. When the visitor is ready, the list travels with them into the quote form, every machine already named, hire or sale already marked. A machine's QR code opens the service-call form with that unit filled in, so a technician on site never types a fleet number.

The branch map, the three forms and the resource centre are edited by the team. We handed over a written guide and a Claude skill that knows the site, so the team can ask their own assistant how to add a machine or an industry page.
