A new kids' sports brand: teacher-led programs backed by elite athletes, run at school. We designed and built a bold SvelteKit site on CloudCannon, with every page built in advance, to launch it and get parents signed up fast. The team publishes programs and FAQs themselves.

Before
A new brand needed a site as bold as its mission.
Rookies runs before-school bootcamps, after-school sessions and holiday camps inside schools. They are led by the school's own teachers and shaped by professional athletes who visit through the year. It launched as a new brand with national ambitions, and its website had a simple job: explain how Rookies works to parents in one visit, and get them to register. They asked for a site with high energy that loads instantly on a phone, and a registration process with nothing in the way.
What we built · 01
Ready for launch, and ready to grow.
Every page of the SvelteKit site is built in advance (pre-rendered). The design is high-energy: big type, bold colour and athlete imagery. Parents, schools and teachers each have pages that answer one question. Programs, FAQs and content are kept in CloudCannon with a live preview, so the team updates a camp or a session time the day it changes. The registration form is short enough to finish on a phone. Regions and schools are added as the program grows, without rebuilding the site.
Rookies today
From one Sydney school to a national program.
Rookies grew out of a decade-old before- and after-school fitness program that started in a Sydney primary school and paused during COVID. It relaunched as a national program led by teachers, with elite athletes shaping the sessions and visiting schools. As of September 2026, the site runs on what we built, and the team publishes programs, venues and FAQs themselves.

The code, the CloudCannon site and the hosting are in Rookies' own accounts. The pages are built in advance, so the site needs nothing from us to stay online.
