Fiducian
An ASX-listed financial services group. In 2021 we moved them off a WordPress site they could not edit, which took 20 seconds to load. In 2026 they came back and we rebuilt it again: it loads in 1.3 seconds, and their own team still runs it without a developer.

Before
Twenty seconds to load, and locked out of their own site.
Fiducian is a financial services group listed on the ASX. It covers funds management, financial planning, and a platform and software for advisers, with more than 70 planners across 45 offices. In 2021 the website ran on WordPress, took around twenty seconds to load, and the team could not change it. Every edit went through an outside agency, yet the business publishes fund reports every month and announcements whenever the market requires.
That year we moved them to a new site, with pages built ahead of time and edited in CloudCannon. For five years their team ran it without us. In 2026 they came back for the next version: more advisers, more funds, more documents, a refreshed design, and a structure built from the ground up for editing directly on the page.

A site their team edits directly.
The new site is built with Astro and edited visually in CloudCannon. Pages are put together from a library of page sections and building blocks, each with its own notes for editors, so a new landing page is a matter of picking sections rather than asking us. Editors see the real page change as they type. Their team looks after every article and page, and the newsletter sign-ups.
The funds are deliberately locked so that only their figures can change. Anyone on the team can update the fifteen funds, their sizes and their monthly reports, but nobody can delete a fund by accident or break how it is set up. Every image is optimised when the site is built, and the search index is rebuilt every time the site is published.

Advisers, offices and documents, kept in the right place.
More than seventy adviser profiles and 45 offices are linked records, not pages someone types out. Each office lists its team by linking to their profiles, so a planner who moves shows up in the right place the same day. The adviser finder uses Google Maps to rank offices by driving distance from a suburb. The appointment form emails the planner, copies in the marketing team and screens out bots without asking people to prove they are human.
Then the paperwork: the PDFs, from product disclosure statements to annual reports, moved across by script. A check before every rebuild fixes any document link that points to the wrong place. Redirects cover every old address, including links to WordPress-era documents that are still cited elsewhere.

The site lives in Fiducian's own CloudCannon organisation and hosting account. Advisers, offices, funds and pages are files in a code repository their team saves changes to every week, so nothing is locked in a database or with an agency.
