One of the world's largest wine and spirits companies. We designed and built the Shopify theme behind its Fine Wine & Craft Spirits stores in Australia and New Zealand: ten brands, two storefronts, every section editable by their team.

A global brand, and a theme that could not keep up.
Constellation Brands is one of the world's largest producers of wine and spirits. Its Fine Wine & Craft Spirits arm sells Robert Mondavi, The Prisoner, Schrader, High West and the rest of the portfolio direct to customers in Australia and New Zealand. The theme behind those stores could not keep up with the brands, and the brief was bigger than one site: the same premium experience on both storefronts, cleared by a digital team in the United States, on the corporate-approved Shopify platform, to enterprise standards for policies, privacy and age verification.
A custom theme, built for the theme editor.
We designed and built the theme from a clean base, not a marketplace theme with a logo swapped in. Every section and block is defined for Shopify's theme editor, so the team rearranges pages, swaps brand showcases and changes copy without touching code, and both stores run the same theme with their own settings. Multi-brand showcases, a page per house, member pricing behind a sign-up, critic scores and awards on the bottle, and filtering by the things wine buyers filter by.
Enterprise standards, met once.
A company this size ships with paperwork: age verification on entry, responsible-drinking notices, privacy and personal-information controls, terms per market, and a review process run from another timezone. The build went through all of it once, so the Australian and New Zealand stores share the same approved base and the same policies, and a change to one is a change to both.
