# Accountants and financial services

https://croissantbaguette.com.au/industries/financial-services/

Websites and AI for accountants and financial services: sites your team updates, and Claude or ChatGPT connected to Xero. 700+ documents for Fiducian.

**Service:** Websites and AI automation for accountants and financial services (Website design and AI automation)

Croissant & Baguette builds websites and AI automation for accounting firms, financial planners and other financial services businesses in Australia, including the website of an ASX-listed financial planning and funds group whose own staff have run it since 2021, and connectors that let a firm's own Claude or ChatGPT work with its software.

- **Website build** from A$9,000 — A website your team updates, with people, offices and documents kept in order. From $9,000, typically $9–18k.
- **Claude & ChatGPT connector** from A$1,500 — Your firm's own Claude or ChatGPT connected to Xero and the rest of your software, with instructions written for your practice. From $1,500; a custom connector we build and host is typically $3–8k.
- **Automation build** from A$8,000 — One process automated from start to finish, such as client paperwork, reminders or reports, with a person approving what matters. From $8,000, typically $10–30k.
- **Automation Opportunity Assessment** free — Free. A 60-minute call about where your team's hours go, then a written proposal within three business days with a fixed price for each build.
- **Care plan** from A$250 a month — Monitoring, updates and small changes, or the managed plan for an AI system. From $250 a month.

## Websites and AI for accountants and financial services.

We build websites your own team keeps up to date, with every adviser, office and document in its place. Then we connect your firm's Claude or ChatGPT to Xero and the rest of your software, with a person approving anything that changes the books. Built in Australia, never offshored.

- **700+ documents in one library** — Fiducian · disclosure statements, reports and governance PDFs (https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/fiducian/)
- **8 in 10 edits made by the client's staff** — Fiducian · an ASX-listed group, over 90 days (https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/fiducian/)
- **5 yrs without a developer for edits** — Fiducian · since we rebuilt the site in 2021 (https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/fiducian/)
- **27 newsletter issues published by the firm** — Youxia · each one a page search engines can find (https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/youxia/)

## Where the hours go in a practice.

Many firms can't change their own website. Every edit goes through an outside agency, so a new adviser, a team change or an announcement waits days to appear. The documents pile up: disclosure statements, annual reports, forms and newsletters. There are hundreds of PDFs, and the links to them break every time one moves. Behind the website, the same client details are typed into Xero, the practice software and the CRM, and paperwork is chased one email at a time. Most staff already use ChatGPT or Claude for drafting. Very few have it connected to Xero, and registered tax and BAS agents now need a client's permission before that client's information goes into some AI tools.

## What we build for accountants and financial services.

The first two run at financial services firms today. The third runs at a buyer's agent; in a practice, the figures would come from Xero or your practice software instead of a property data service.

- **A website your team runs** Pages are built from sections your team picks and fills in, and they see the real page change as they type. Data that must not break, such as a fund's settings, is locked so only its figures can change. Before each update goes live, every document link is checked. — For firms whose site changes every month: reports, announcements and people. — An ASX-listed financial services group with more than 70 planners across 45 offices. We moved it off WordPress in 2021 and rebuilt it in 2026, and its own staff make 8 in 10 of the edits. — New reports, advisers and announcements go live without waiting on an agency. — Fiducian
  - **The month's report is ready** a PDF from the funds team, with the new figures.
  - **A staff member updates the fund** in CloudCannon, where only the figures and the report can change.
  - **Every document link is checked** before the site is rebuilt, so none points to the wrong file.
  - **The site is published** with the report on the fund's page and in the site's search.
  - [Read the Fiducian case study](https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/fiducian/)
- **Newsletters that keep working** Each issue is also published as its own page on your website, where search engines can find it and clients can share it, instead of disappearing into inboxes. Your team publishes it in minutes, with no code and no developer. — For firms that send clients a newsletter or a market update. — A crypto and precious-metals asset manager whose WordPress site was slow and a chore to update. Its newsletter archive now holds twenty-seven issues, all published by the firm. — Every issue stays findable long after the email has gone out. — Youxia
  - **The issue is written** in CloudCannon, the editor the firm uses.
  - **It becomes a page** in the newsletter archive, with an address of its own.
  - **The site is rebuilt** with every page built in advance, so it loads instantly.
  - **Clients and search engines find it** from a shared link, a search, or the archive.
  - [Read the Youxia case study](https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/youxia/)
- **Client reports sent by asking** You type one sentence into your own Claude or ChatGPT, and the report is put together, emailed to the right client and noted on their record. We built this for a buyer's agent, whose property reports now take one sentence. In a practice, the figures would come from Xero or your practice software, and a person would approve anything that goes to a client. — For practices that send clients reports, summaries and reminders. — A private connector we built and host, installed in the client's existing Claude and ChatGPT. New abilities are switched on at our end, with nothing for the client to install. — A report reaches the client and the CRM is up to date, from one sentence. — Joris
  - **One sentence names the client and the property** typed into Claude or ChatGPT, the assistants already paid for.
  - **Our tools build the report** on the property data service, and fetch every detail back.
  - **The client is found in HubSpot** where the contacts are kept.
  - **The report is emailed** and the HubSpot record gets a note and a follow-up to-do.

## Built for regulated firms.

- **Changes checked before they go live.** Nothing reaches the public site until someone you trust has looked at it.
- **Documents kept in order.** Disclosure statements, reports and forms in one library, with every link checked before each update.
- **People and offices entered once.** Each adviser and office is a record, so when someone moves, every page that lists them changes too.
- **Enquiries to the right person.** An appointment request goes to the adviser it's for and copies your marketing team, with bots screened out and no puzzle for the client.
- **A person approves what matters.** Our AI systems ask before anything that reaches a client or touches money, and log every action they take.
- **Client data stays in Australia.** Hosted in an Australian cloud region by default, with a written record of which AI providers see what.
- **Used to listed companies.** We built an ASX-listed group's website in 2021, and rebuilt it in 2026.
- **No lock-in.** The code, the hosting and the accounts are in your name, documented so another developer could take over.

## Built for financial services.

- **Financial planning and funds** An ASX-listed group's site, with over 300 pages and over 700 documents, run by its own staff since 2021 and rebuilt in 2026. (https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/fiducian/)
- **Asset management** A crypto and precious-metals asset manager moved off a slow WordPress site, with every newsletter issue published as a page of its own. (https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/youxia/)
- **Client reports by asking** A connector that lets a client's own Claude and ChatGPT send a report and update HubSpot from one sentence. Built for a buyer's agent; a practice would use Xero's figures. (https://croissantbaguette.com.au/projects/joris/)

## What it costs.

- **Website build** from $9,000 (people, offices and documents your team keeps current)
- **Claude & ChatGPT connector** from $1,500 (your own Claude or ChatGPT, connected to Xero and your other software)
- **Automation build** from $8,000 (one process, such as client paperwork, reminders or reports)
- **Care plan** from $250/month (monitoring, updates and small changes, or the managed plan for an AI system)

What affects the price:

- how many people, offices and documents the site holds
- whether changes need an approval step before they go live
- which software we connect, such as Xero, MYOB or your CRM
- whether a person checks the AI's work before it reaches a client

Fixed quote after a call. For AI automation, the assessment is free, with a written proposal within three business days.

## Questions firms ask.

Six questions we hear from accountants and financial services firms. Have another one? Ask us.

- **Have you built websites for accounting firms?** Not an accounting firm's own website yet. Our financial services builds are for an ASX-listed financial planning and funds management group, and a crypto and precious-metals asset manager. What an accounting firm needs from its site is close to theirs: people and offices kept current, documents in one place, changes checked before they go live, and a newsletter archive.
- **Can our compliance team approve a page before it goes live?** Yes. Editors save their changes as drafts and preview the real page, and publishing can be limited to the people you choose. Anything that must not break, like a fund's settings, can be locked so only its figures can change.
- **Is ChatGPT good for accounting?** For drafting, summarising and research, yes. For anything that touches the books, only when it is connected to your accounting software and a person checks its work. We set up the connection with instructions written for your practice, so it knows your clients, your rules and what it must never change.
- **Can Claude or ChatGPT change our Xero file?** Not through Xero's own connectors: they read your books but can't change them. Changing Xero takes Xero's server for developers or a connector we build, and we set it up so every change waits for a person's yes and is logged.
- **Do we need our clients' permission to use AI?** Registered tax and BAS agents generally do. Under the Tax Practitioners Board's guidance of July 2026, an agent needs each client's consent before that client's information goes into an AI tool, depending on the tool, and stays responsible for checking whatever it produces. Our Xero guide sets out the detail.
- **Where is our clients' data stored?** By default, in an Australian cloud region, or on your own servers if your policies require it. We write down which AI providers handle what, and your data is never used to train AI models.
